The EXCEED project is establishing a European network of six Centres of Vocational Excellence across Italy, Spain, Finland, the Czech Republic and Greece to support innovation and sustainable competitiveness in Advanced Manufacturing.
Through a partnership of 39 public and private organisations, EXCEED promotes the integration of green and digital technologies, addressing the evolving skills needs created by Industry 4.0, artificial intelligence, robotics and industrial decarbonisation. The project focuses on upskilling and reskilling adults and workers, strengthening Higher VET programmes, empowering VET professionals and developing new strategies for attracting and retaining talent.
Key expected results include an International Observatory for the eco-digital transition, the development and updating of 16 Higher VET curricula, and the creation of an International Talent Factory. The initiative also aims to reduce the gender gap in technical education and make the Advanced Manufacturing sector more attractive to younger generations.
